I am so happy to be tagged by Sight Seeing Storyteller on “10 Questions”. While these are not beauty/makeup related, I love when bloggers tag and get to know each other.
What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on?
I have a been on a couple of great trips during my lifetime. But the one that stands out the most are my two trips to Brazil. As a per-teen we had an exchange student from Brazil that stayed with us for about 6 months. We grew as family and when she went home, I became very eager to learn more about her home. When I was 15, my parents decided to send me on my winter break (which was summer in Brazil) for 3 weeks to stay with her family. We spent some time in Rio, went to the beaches, and also explored her hometown of Bele Horizonte. It was the best 3 weeks of my life. When I graduated high school, I was able to go back again for a few weeks, and this time took my mom for a portion of it. We explored even more. Brazil is so beautiful and the people are fabulous!!
Where would you love to travel to?
I would love to travel to Asia and Australia. Both countries have so much beauty and history.
What’s your favorite place to visit in your own country?
I love traveling to all the big cities – Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, Nashville. On my list are Seattle and Dallas.
What’s the weirdest/coolest/most expensive/most unique/favorite (pick one!) souvenir you’ve brought home from a trip?
I went to Kenya when I was 4 and we have SO many great souvenirs from the trip. The one thing I love the most is a hand carved wood chair. I keep this displayed in my living room. It’s both interesting and functional.
What’s the best food you’ve ever had on your travels?
Brazilian cheese balls are so deadly!! While I have found them at Trader Joe’s as well as a couple local Brazilian places, they really aren’t the same as from Brazil. It must be the water.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you’d do?
I would travel around the world with my mom. Invest wisely for my future. And tour with NKOTB (well maybe not with them but follow them on tour to every city).
What is your favorite thing about blogging?
It gives me an outlet to be creative. I am the one planning, creating and publishing with no restrictions. It’s my blog and I can do whatever I want with it.
What is your favorite book? This is a super hard question (I’m a book fiend) so I’ll also accept the most recent book you’ve read! Convince us of it’s awesomeness!
I don’t really have a favorite book but I have a couple of favorite authors – Richelle Mead, Colleen Hoover, and Nicholas Sparks. Lately I have been reading Luke Young and Rachel Caine.
What’s your favorite animal?
I love pigs. I fell in love with Miss Piggy as a child and it just continued from there. While I don’t collect every pig out there, I do look for unique pieces to add to my collection.
What is your favorite holiday/festival of the year (Christmas, Easter, Independence Days, Diwali…etc) and how do you celebrate it?
I like New Years simply because I love glitter and sparkles and it’s a good excuse to wear it and go over the top.
